Peal fruit if you prefer the pie without skins. Cut apples or pears into thin slices.
Start layering the apples on the bottom.
On the second layer, cover any openings until you can not see the crust through the layers.
Once you have used two fruits, pour one jar of jam over the pie.
Slice fruit until the pie is 3/4 of the way full.
Pour the second jar of The Jam Lady’s Spiced Pear Jam over the pie. For a tart twist, use a jar of The Jam Lady's Pucker Up. Tap the pan on the counter to help work some of the jam down. If you need to, use a butter knife to help level out the jam. All fruit slices should be covered with jam.
Top it with whatever style crust you like (cute crust shapes, full crust with slits, lattice, whatever suits your fancy!)
Cover the pie edges with foil and bake for 40-50 minutes Poke the apples with a fork, if they are soft and fall off the fork, the pie is done!
