This past weekend at our Spring Kickoff, we loved meeting all of the home gardeners that came to stock up on warm-season plants from the abundance of farm-grown, organic seedlings we had to offer! If you’re a Harvest Green resident interested in growing your green thumb, there is a pipeline of plants ready to be transferred to Farm Club plots for the Spring season! When you join, Farmer Alyssa will walk you through the process of growing vegetables from seed to harvest. Members also enjoy exclusive access to the expertise of farmers on site and frequent educational community events to learn more throughout the growing seasons.

One of the beautiful things about Farm Club is the opportunity for kids to interact with nature and spend time outdoors with the whole family. We have heard countless stories from Harvest Green families of children whose love for vegetables was ignited in Farm Club. Planting and harvesting vegetables first hand allows children to see healthy eating in a new light - and that there really is nothing sweeter than a freshly harvested carrot! Taking a walk to see the farm goats is also an added bonus for Farm Club Kids!

After a cold start to the week, we are looking forward to sunshine and smiles as we host our 4th annual Spring Break Day Camp this Friday! If you enjoyed the weekend festivities at the Farmers Market Kickoff, be sure to join us this Saturday to shop many of the same local vendors and our selection of organic produce. Coming up soon on Saturday, March 28th, you can take a closer look into our Spring season and organic farming practices during our free Farm Tour!

Currently in Season: Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Salad Mix, Lettuce, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley, Carrots, Fennel, Scallions, Spring Onions, Celery, Kale, Chard, Collards, Celeriac, and Chicory Greens
