As we shift into a cooler weather pattern for fall, it’s the perfect time to dive in and learn more about the wide variety of crops that thrive during this time of the year. If you’re a Harvest Green resident, there’s no better place to learn than our Farm Club! Members of Farm Club have the opportunity to grow food on their own designated plot on the farm with the guidance and expertise of our Farm Educators. They also have exclusive access to special events like pizza nights and seeding parties along with the support of fellow members. Farm Club is available exclusively for current Harvest Green residents. Head here to learn more and submit an application or reach out to us at HarvestGreen@Agmenity.com with any questions you may have.

It’s already time for the first arugula harvest! This round of arugula was sown three weeks ago and is the first of many that we will see throughout the cooler months. The tender leaves of this arugula have a nice, peppery bite that will be great in salads and sandwiches. Since there was a limited amount available this week, priority went to our Veggie Share members (a major perk!). We’ll let you know as soon as it is available at the Farm Stand!

We spied the first roselle pods forming on our plants this week! We’ve been harvesting the tangy leafy greens from our plants throughout the summer and now that we’re heading towards fall, it’s time for the plants to flower and produce these beautiful red pods. These are bigger than the ones we’ve grown in the past so we are really excited for future harvests! Since our plants have just started to produce the pods, it will be a few weeks until we have the first sizable harvest to share with you at the Farm Stand. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re available!
