January Farmers Markets

Happy New Year!

We hope your year is off to a great start. Here are the market dates for this month: Saturday, January 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st.

Here's what you can find at the Farm Stand this weekend: Cabbage, Napa Cabbage, Chicory Greens, Salad Mix, Collard Greens, Swiss Chard, Curly Kale, Dino Kale, Lettuce, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley, Beets, Watermelon Radish, Daikon Radish, Hakurei Turnips, Carrots, Fennel, Cauliflower, Kohlrabi, and Scallions.

Crop of the Month: Fennel

Fennel has a mildly sweet anise flavor that pairs well with citrus, root veggies, chicken, and sausage. It is one of Farmer Nathan's favorite crops and most recently Farmer Anna has grown to really love it as well! Fennel fares well in the cold, but also holds up into the spring so we should have it for quite a while at the Farm Stand. Here are some recipes to lend culinary inspiration:
