La Tomatina Padre Recap and Farm Tour this Sunday
June 22nd, 2023
Our annual La Tomatina Padre event this past weekend was an absolute blast! Thank you to each and every family that made the trek over to the farm despite the heat. It’s no surprise that the highlight of the event was the tomato toss. We hope you enjoyed taking part in it as much as we did watching it!
After the tomatoes stopped flying, it was time to cool off! All of the kiddos had a chance to play on the inflatable water slide while the Dad’s queued up for the dunk tank. Nothing like a quick plunge to wash off all of that tomato pulp!
Caprese skewers from farm neighbor Messina Hof were the perfect light bite while the strawberry lemonade from Kung Fu Tea was super refreshing and thirst quenching.
Though the next La Tomatina Padre is a year away, we hope to see you on the farm at our other events! We have a farmers market every Saturday from 9am-noon and our next Meet the Farm Tour is this Sunday, June 25th from 1:30-2pm. Our tours are a great way to see what’s in season and how we plan for year-round growing in our climate. Plus, there’s always tasty samples involved! Our tours are open to the public and free of charge, we just ask that you sign up here.
