Springtime brings a host of new veggies to our harvesting lineup which makes it the perfect time to try out our Vegetable Share Program! If you want to enjoy our organic produce but struggle to get to the Farm Stand on Saturdays, this program is perfect for you. Our shares are customizable and often come with the perk of trying produce before it makes its way to the Farm Stand. Harvest Green residents receive a discount on their share along with free home delivery on Thursdays. We also offer public shares that can be picked up on Tuesdays at the Harvest Green Farmhouse or at our Commonwealth Drop Site. If you’re interested in our Vegetable Share Program, we invite you to join us for our Farm Tour this Sunday, April 27th, from 1-2pm so you can see (and taste!) what’s currently in season. Feel free to email us at HarvestGreen@Agmenity.com with any questions you may have, or you can sign up for your Vegetable Share here.

All of the new produce that has come back into season over the past couple of weeks has us excitedly planning the menu items for our Wood Fired Pizza Night! We invite Harvest Green residents to join us on the farm on Sunday, May 4th from 5-8pm for some farm-to-table pizza pies and a screening of Star Wars: Episode VII. Pizzas will be made to order and can be enjoyed on the farm, or picked up to-go style. The cost is $15 for one pizza or $25 for two. Pizza pick-up begins at 5pm and the movie begins at 5:30pm. For more details about this resident-only event and to purchase your tickets, head here.

Cucumbers are back in season at the Farm Stand and in Vegetable Shares! We are harvesting two different varieties in abundance: Paraiso and Minime. Paraiso (below left) is a long slicing cucumber with a great crunchy texture and sweet, mild flavor. It’s perfect for chopping and adding to salads and sandwiches or juicing. Minime (below right) is a mini cucumber variety with smooth skin and a crisp yet juicy texture. Their size makes them perfect for snacking on the go, pairing with your favorite dip, or tossing into your lunchbox. Make sure to try both at the Farm Stand this Saturday!
