We are gearing up for our Pizza and a Movie event this Friday, December 19th! This year, there are no tickets required and the event is open to the public. You’ll be able to order pizzas beginning at 5pm and The Grinch will begin playing at 6pm. We’ll be making pizzas to order from 5pm until 8pm while supplies last. You have four pizza options to choose from: cheese, pepperoni, veggie (with peppers, fennel, and spinach from the farm), and supreme (veggies + pepperoni). Like last year, you have the option to order and enjoy your pizzas in the cozy setting of the farm or take them to-go style. We can’t wait to see you!

If you can’t make it for pizza but still want to have a stroll around the farm, make sure to join us for our last Meet the Farm Tour of the year this Saturday, December 20th, from 10-11am. Since the full spectrum of fall crops has been planted, we’ll be exploring the abundant diversity that is present this time of year. We will also be offering samples of our carrots and watermelon radishes since they are newly in season and have a great, sweet flavor! Our tours are open to the public and free to attend but spots are limited in order to provide the best experience. Make sure to sign up here if you plan on attending.

Spinach just made its way back into season! We’re harvesting from the first succession that was planted in one of the high tunnels. Since we’re harvesting the spinach in the baby stage, the leaves are super tender and perfect for adding to salads. The mild flavor of spinach makes it incredibly versatile in the kitchen! We love using it to make palak paneer (recipe here) or this classic hot spinach artichoke dip (recipe here). Make sure to stop by the Farm Stand this Saturday to pick up a bag or two!
