Thanksgiving Holiday Market on Tuesday, November 25th!

Don’t forget to join us this coming Tuesday, November 25th, for our Thanksgiving Holiday Market! This special market is a great way to stock up on fresh produce and other holiday essentials before Thanksgiving’s arrival. The Holiday Market will be held at The Farmhouse from 5-8pm and is open to both residents and members of the public. Local vendors will be in attendance and a food truck will be on site to fuel you through the evening. Please note that this special market will be your only option to stock up on fresh veggies next week as there will not be a Farmers Market on Saturday, November 29th due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

If you struggle to get to the Farm Stand in person every week for our organic produce, we highly recommend trying our Vegetable Share Program! Our shares are customizable and come with the unique perk of enjoying first-of-the-season produce as well as limited varieties before they even hit the Farm Stand. As always, residents of Harvest Green receive a discounted share in addition to free home delivery on Thursdays. We also offer a public share option for non-residents that can be picked up on Tuesdays at The Farmhouse or at our Commonwealth Drop Site. Now that we have more abundance and diversity in our fall harvests, it’s the perfect time to join! We are excited to share that cone cabbage just made its way back into season! As the name suggests, this cabbage variety has a conical shape and is typically sweeter and more tender than standard round cabbages. The tender leaves are perfect for whipping up a batch of coleslaw, adding a satisfying crunch to salads, and your next batch of home fermented sauerkraut. It’s also delicious stir-fried or sliced into thin wedges and grilled, roasted, or braised. Make sure to stop by the Farm Stand this Saturday and snag one to try!
