Freeze Proofing and Spring Prepping
January 22nd, 2026 Last year at this time Village Farm was covered in a blanket of snow, and this week we find ourselves hustling in preparation for yet another timely winter storm! Our days this week are spent bulk harvesting storage crops, anchoring down frost cloth, supplementing hay and food for farm animals, and seeding in abundance for post-freeze planting. Pepper Time and Farm Club Harvest
January 16th, 2026 If you’ve been keeping up with our weekly produce offering at the Veggie Wagon, you would know that we recently took peppers off of the menu. Believe it or not, we have already seeded our new crop of peppers! We look forward to growing the same tried and true varieties that bring a pop of flavor and color to your meals throughout the year. Looking Back on a Fruitful Year
December 31st, 2025 As we prepare for a brand new year on Village Farm, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights of 2025. Here are some of our favorites from throughout the year: We harvested about 30,000 pounds of produce for our community this year! Instead of focusing on increasing our overall number, we honed in on harvest efficiency to eliminate potential waste. Pizza and a Movie this Friday!
December 18th, 2025 We are gearing up for our Pizza and a Movie event this Friday, December 19th! This year, there are no tickets required and the event is open to the public. You’ll be able to order pizzas beginning at 5pm and The Grinch will begin playing at 6pm. We’ll be making pizzas to order from 5pm until 8pm while supplies last. Neill Harvest of the Month and Lettuces in Season
December 11th, 2025 Did you know that every month throughout the school year we provide organic produce from the farm for the Harvest of the Month Program at Neill Elementary School? This week is the last harvest of 2025 and carrots are on the menu!
