Mother’s Day Bouquets and Bird Walk this Saturday

This Saturday (May 11th) at the Farmers Market, you’ll have the opportunity to create a beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut flowers to share with the special mothers in your life! We’ll be harvesting a bevy of rainbow-hued blooms from our flower patch including zinnias, cosmos, snapdragons (below), marigolds, and gomphrena for this special event. You’ll be able to build a bouquet with the flowers of your choosing then we’ll wrap it up in paper and tie it with a ribbon. Each bouquet is $30 ($24 for Harvest Green residents). This event begins at 9am and will last as long as our flower supply so make plans to get there early!

After you visit the market and make a bouquet, consider joining farmer and bird enthusiast Nathan for a special bird walk in celebration of World Migratory Bird Day! Attendees will embark on a guided tour around the farm’s walking trail to take a gander at all of the resident bird species that are vital to our ecosystem. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot some migratory birds on their journey up north. We have a few spare pairs of binoculars available but we highly encourage you to bring your own. This event takes place this Saturday, May 11th, from 10-11am. It is open to the public and free of charge but we request that you sign up here if you plan on attending.

Spots are filling up quickly for our Wood-Fired Pizza Night! This farm-to-table event takes place next Friday, May 17th at 6pm on our event lawn. We’ll be whipping up pizzas with veggies and herbs grown and harvested here on the farm like cherry tomatoes, basil, zucchini, and peppers. In addition to unlimited pizza, we’ll have chilled sparkling water for you but you are more than welcome to bring your own beverages to enjoy. This is a ticketed event that is open to the public but spots are limited. Tickets will be on sale until 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 16th so we highly encourage you to secure your spot!
