Baby Pumpkins in the Patch
September 11th, 2026

We have reached the home stretch of growth for our Fall gourds, and are hopeful for favorable growing conditions as they size up and begin to turn the colors of Fall! These pumpkins have survived a hot summer and proved resilient through various types of pest pressure. Keep an eye out in the newsletter and social media for fun Fall activities coming to the farm soon!

This week we are seeding Fall flowers to bring back a smaller version of our flower patch that you enjoyed this Spring! Due to cooler temperatures, Fall flowers come in fewer varieties and typically include many of the colors we enjoy this time of year like orange, yellow, and purple. We are excited to host a Fall morning U-pick flower day where patrons can get hands-on experience harvesting and arranging their own bouquet!

Though the okra crop is abundant and we have new cucumber plants beginning to produce, you will begin to see some summer veggies phasing out in the Vegetable Share and at the Farmers Market soon. This week we harvested the very first crop of arugula and radishes, with salad turnips just around the corner! Be sure to stop by the market early to grab the first round of Fall veggies while they are in limited supply.
