New Flock's First Eggs
July 4th, 2026 This week our new flock of chickens surprised us with the first batch of eggs! These young hens are still maturing so the size of their eggs is quite small, as several can fit in the palm of a hand. The summer season is also a time of slower egg production as chickens redirect their energy from egg laying to cooling off their bodies. We are excited to introduce eggs into the Vegetable Share later this year - so stay tuned for updates as egg size and production

Harvesting New Veggies
May 22nd, 2026 The true abundance of Spring is peaking with more new crops added to the Vegetable Share and Farmers Market stand! This week we are harvesting our first tromboncino squash, an Italian heirloom variety touting a long neck great for roasting or grilling! The first hot chilies are also back on the menu and sold in half-pint containers for ease of cooking with small batches. These Cayenne peppers are long, vibrant red, and definitely pack a punch!
