Don’t forget to come join us for our Community Fig Orchard Beautification Day this Saturday, October 11th, from 10am-12:30pm! This volunteer opportunity is open to the public and is a great way to meet your neighbors and fellow community members. It also ensures our fig trees are happy, healthy, and ready for fun you-pick days in the future. Tools, water, and snacks will be provided for you but we highly recommend bringing some work gloves. In order to ensure we have enough supplies, we request that you sign up here if you plan to attend.

Over the past three years, Farmer Bethany has had a tremendous impact on the farm through her roles as Farm Club and Farmers Market Manager. Her infectious smile and passion for farming, coupled with her incredible work ethic is evident not only to us, but to anyone who has met her over the years. Please join us in wishing Bethany luck as she transitions away from the farm into full-time motherhood! She is due at the end of the month and is sticking around with us as long as she can so we highly recommend coming out to wish her well over the next couple of weeks.

If you’re seeking fun fall vibes before our official Kickoff on the 18th, make sure to drop by the Farmers Market this Saturday, October 11th. The Lifestyle team will have an autumnal photo-op set up with our vintage red Farmall tractor and plenty of pumpkins. After you snap some seasonal shots, make sure to check out all of the new fall produce at the Farm Stand! This week we’re adding sweet potatoes, winged beans, and collard greens to the lineup. Once you’ve chosen your produce, make sure to peruse our awesome local vendors! The Farmers Market is open from 9am-1pm at 8939 Harlem Road. We look forward to seeing you there!
