Looking for something special for the mothers in your life? How about a handcrafted bouquet made with gorgeous flowers grown and harvested right here on Village Farm?! This Saturday, May 10th, we’re hosting our annual Mother’s Day Bouquet Making event during the Farmers Market. You’ll have the opportunity to craft your own bouquet with gorgeous blooms from the farm. Each bouquet costs $30 (or $24 for Harvest Green residents) and includes paper wrapping and a ribbon bow in a color of your choosing. This event begins at 9am and lasts until our flower supply is gone so we highly recommend getting there early! This event is open to the public and does not require pre-registration.

Once you’ve made and secured your bouquet, mosey over to the bridge for a Bird Walk from 10-11am with Farmer and bird enthusiast Nathan in celebration of World Migratory Bird Day! This Saturday, May 10th, join Nathan for a tour around Village Farm to spot all of the migratory nesting birds that call the farm home during this time of year. Village Farm is touted as a hotspot for birding in Fort Bend Country so you are likely to see a variety of beautiful feathered friends. We have a few pairs of spare binoculars but we highly recommend bringing your own. This event is open to the public and free of charge, but space is limited so we request that you reserve your spot here beforehand.

Did you know that our Vegetable Share members received the first tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers of the season before they even made their way to our Saturday Farm Stand? This is one of the major perks of our Vegetable Share Program! Members frequently receive first-of-the-season veggies, fruits, and herbs in addition to special small harvests like potatoes. An added perk for Harvest Green residents is that your share also includes free home delivery every Thursday, plus a discounted price! If you’re interested in adding more colorful organic produce to your plate, we invite you to sign up for your own Vegetable Share here, or email us at HarvestGreen@Agmenity.com with any questions you may have.
