Special Holiday Market on the 25th and Harvesting Lettuce

If you find yourself already planning menus for holiday meals, make sure to mark Tuesday, November 25th from 5-8pm on your calendar for our annual Thanksgiving Holiday Market! This special market takes place the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at The Farmhouse and is a great way to stock up on holiday essentials from the Veggie Stand and local artisanal vendor booths. In the meantime, feel free to join us this Saturday, November 8th, at the Farmers Market for an autumnal craft! The Lifestyle team will be set up from 10am-noon for a decoupage pumpkin activity that is open to the public and suitable for all ages. More details can be found here.

Three new items are making their way to the Farm Stand this weekend: lettuce heads, cilantro, and dill! These cool season crops are the perfect salad starter: toss the lettuce with some of our radishes, arugula, and Hakurei turnips, then add the cilantro and dill to a homemade ranch dressing and drizzle it over the top. Our tender lettuce can also be used on sandwiches and burgers or shredded and added to tacos. Make sure to stop by the Farm Stand this Saturday to snag these delicious crops!

Our Napa cabbages are nearly ready for the first harvest! These quick-growing cabbages have already formed beautiful heads (below) that should be ready for harvesting next week. Make sure to keep an eye out! We’re also excited to share that we have multiple successions of carrots growing and we are hoping to make the first harvest by the end of this month. Carrots are both a crowd and farmer favorite so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, make sure to check out all of the other delicious fall crops at the Farm Stand!
