We’re getting very close to the first tomatoes and summer squash of the season but for now, we’re excited to offer you the first cut flowers and basil of the season! Though we’ll have bouquets available for you closer to Mother’s Day, you can now purchase individual stems at the Farm Stand to add some springtime color to your home. Buy a single stem or build your own bouquet, your choice! Don’t forget to peruse the rest of our produce and snag a bunch of first-of-the-season basil while you’re at the Farm Stand.

Once you’ve stopped by the Farm Stand, make sure to mosey over to the Indie Book Fair to peruse all of the book vendors. You might just find your next favorite read! In addition to the Book Fair, the Paper Shred Truck will be on site offering safe and confidential shredding services for your old documents. Both of these events are open to the public, free to attend, and will be taking place at our weekly Farmers Market on Saturday, April 12th, from 9am-1pm.

Our tunnel tomatoes are so close to the first sizable harvest but our field tomatoes aren’t far behind! Planted a couple of weeks later than our tunnel tomatoes, the tomato plants in the field are already beginning to bear fruit! Due to the difference in environment, the field tomatoes are trellised with a method called the Florida weave. As the tomatoes grow, we will add a new length of twine (pictured above) about every 6-inches on the t-posts. This helps to keep the tomato vines off the ground while protecting their fruits, reducing disease, and improving air flow.
