February Farmers Markets

Here are the market dates for the month of February: Saturday, February 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th from 9am-1pm.
Here's what you can find at the Farm Stand this weekend: Kale, Collard Greens, Spinach, Lettuce, Cabbage, Radicchio, Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Fennel, Kohlrabi, Broccoli, Cauliflower, and Parsley.
Vendor of the Month: Chai's Kitchen
How about a taste of Singapore right here in Texas? Chai’s Kitchen offers up Singaporean flavors in her jams, spice mixes, sambal, almond brittle, and Chinese pickles. We absolutely love her turmeric jam and highly recommend picking up a jar sooner rather than later! Make sure to peruse all that she has to offer at the market this month.
Crop of the Month: Kohlrabi
Kohlrabi is back in season at the Farm Stand! The round bulbous end of kohlrabi is actually a swollen meristem rather than a root. Both the stem and the leaves of kohlrabi are edible and can be eaten raw or cooked. To use the stem, simply cut or peel away the tough outer skin.
