Join us at the Next Farmers Market
May is often the time for peak diversity on the farm! The convergence of spring and summer crops yields a host of delicious possibilities for mealtime. We invite you to come take advantage of this seasonal assortment at the Farmers Market this Saturday, May 21st, from 8am-noon! The farm stand will be packed with organic veggies like rattlesnake beans (pictured below), tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. Plus, we’ll have beautiful cut flowers for you like sunflowers and zinnias.
With a focus on local and sustainable products, our Farmers Market provides a place where you can pick up your weekly groceries while interacting with the growers and producers. By purchasing directly from our vendors, you’re able to establish a deeper and more meaningful connection. And, your continued support is what cements the presence of the market every month!
We have two new vendors joining our lineup this week: Oyster Creek Tropicals and Sonyola Granola. Oyster Creek Tropicals offers ornamental tropical plants while Sonyola Granola has nut and soy free granola made with all natural ingredients. Plus, one of our original vendors, Wooden Whisk Patisserie, will be joining us again with her traditional American and European baked goods!
In addition to our vendors, the Harvest Green Lifestyle Team will be hosting a farm-themed boot camp and a blood drive. Plus, you’ll have access to the kids play area adjacent to the market. In case you need a reminder, our market is located at 8939 Harlem Road with plenty of onsite parking and restroom access. We hope you’ll come out and join us so that we can connect as a community over all things local!
Currently in Season at the Farm Stand: Green Beans, Rattlesnake Beans, Shishito Peppers, Corbaci Peppers (limited), Jalapenos (limited), Tomatoes (cherries and slicers), Cucumbers (slicing and pickling), Zucchini (yellow and green), Beets, Carrots, Fennel, Kohlrabi, Celeriac, Leeks, Onions, Kale, Chard, Collards, Basil, Mint, and Cut Flowers.
