Wood-Fired Pizza Night on May 17th

May 2nd, 2024

We are excited to announce that tickets are officially on sale for our much-anticipated Wood-Fired Pizza Night! This farm-to-table event will take place on Friday, May 17th at 6pm here on the farm. We’ll be making and serving up pizzas buffet style for both veggie lovers and meat-eaters alike featuring toppings grown and harvested on the farm. In addition to unlimited pizza and sparkling water, there will be lawn games and live music provided by local artist Sean Heyl. This is a ticketed event that is open to the public and spots are limited. If you’re a Harvest Green resident, make sure to reach out to us or the folks over at The Farmhouse for a special discount! Tickets can be secured here

Farm Club Member Spotlight

We are honored to introduce you to one of our dedicated Farm Club members, Tifanni! She joined two years ago at the suggestion of her kids’ father and has been growing ever since. Tifanni loves the fact that she can have her own dedicated plot while still having the support of the farmers and other members. One of her favorite things she has learned is the process of watching a vegetable go from seed to harvest. Despite the challenges that gardening brings, Tifanni ultimately enjoys the peace that comes from tending to her plot. If you’re a Harvest Green resident and would love to participate in a community style gardening experience and grow a beautiful plot like Tifanni’s, head here to learn more and fill out an application.

The time has finally arrived to harvest our bulb onions! We harvested a whopping 762 pounds of onions (which doesn’t account for all of the immature spring onions we’ve been offering at the Farm Stand). The tops of our onions were beginning to dry out and turn brown which is an indicator that they are ready for harvesting. All of our onions are now curing in the greenhouse, a process that involves spreading them out in a single layer with plenty of air circulation so that their papery skins can dry and tighten around the bulbs. Since onions are a storage crop, they will allow us to lend crop diversity to our offerings throughout both the spring and summer months.
