April 17th, 2025

As spring veggies make their way into season and the days become pleasant and sunny, it’s the perfect time to fire up the pizza oven! We invite Harvest Green residents to join us on the farm on Sunday, May 4th from 5-8pm for our Wood-Fired Pizza Night + a Movie. The setup will be similar to our Pizza Night back in December as pizzas will be made to order and can be eaten on the farm or taken to-go. Since this event takes place on May 4th, we will be viewing Star Wars. We’ll share more details and a ticket link very soon so stay tuned!

We are excited to share that cherry tomatoes are making their way back into season! We’ve just started harvesting from our plants in the high tunnel and hope that we can continue to do so into the summer. Since our plants are just starting to produce the first mature cherry tomatoes, we will have a limited amount available at the Farm Stand on Saturday. We highly recommend getting there early if you would like to snag a pint! Our Farm Stand takes place on Saturdays from 9am-1pm.

We spotted the first baby fruits on our patty pan squashes! Depending on how many we’re able to harvest before Saturday, you’ll either see them at the Farm Stand this weekend or next. We are growing three different varieties this year: Y-Star (yellow with light green on the blossom end), G-Star (dark, shiny green), and Jaune et Verte (light green with more of a tulip shape). While patty pan squashes are great for stuffing, they can also be diced or shredded and used in a similar way to a zucchini. We can’t wait to share these delicious squashes with you!
