As we prepare for a brand new year on Village Farm, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights of 2025. Here are some of our favorites from throughout the year:

We harvested about 30,000 pounds of produce for our community this year! Instead of focusing on increasing our overall number, we honed in on harvest efficiency to eliminate potential waste.

We had some great community events like our Spring Break Day Camp with Cook Learn Grow, Memorial Day Camp, two Pizza Nights, two Fig Orchard Beautification Days, and our 8th annual La Tomatina Padre.

This was both our earliest and longest tomato season to date! Rather than focusing on a large number of varieties, we went with tried and true favorites that have proven to be productive and delicious.

We saw really great and abundant production from our North Field with record-breaking harvests for watermelon, winter squash, and onions.

Our spring flower patch was colorful and abundant, giving us plenty of flowers for our Mother’s Day Bouquet event at the Farmers Market.

This was the first year we were able to make a small harvest of figs from our orchard! We were able to sell a limited amount at the Farm Stand and they sold out rather quickly. Keep an eye out for more serious harvesting this year for both the Farm Stand and Veggie Share!

We have plenty of exciting things planned for 2026 and hope that you will be a part of it. Stay tuned!
